Objective: Perform Clean Install of Kayako Desktop Application

Overview:
There are some known issues which may require a clean reinstall of the desktop application, the most common being when a chat is ‘stuck’ in queue for an agent.

Steps:

  1. Uninstall 'Kayako Desktop Application' completely
  2. Remove relevant entry from 'Program Files' or concerned Installation Directory
  3. Delete 'Kayako' entry from 'appdata'. C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming
  4. Delete 'Kayako' entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software. Please make sure to take a backup of registry before making any changes.
  5. Download and install latest stable build of 'Kayako Desktop Application' from http://hotfix.kayako.com/latest.php?product=kd&platform=win32&buildtype=stable


Configuring Kayako Desktop App

Click Next until you can create an Account, then complete the screen as seen below except with your name\password.
